K-Recycling: Initiative wants to harmonize the calculation of the proportion of recycled material

IranPolymer / Baspar The Brussels-based organizations European Plastics Converters Association (EuPC), European Carpet and Rug Association (ECRA) and European Single Ply Waterproofing Association as well as the independent Belgian laboratory Centexbel – VKC (Kortrijk / Belgium) and the Belgian Quality Association (BQA, Gent / Belgium) have announced the formation of a consortium.

PolyCert Europe is to create an EU-wide compliance program for plastics processors and harmonize the method used by the certification systems to calculate the percentage of recycling. Such harmonization is urgently needed to ensure compliance with the relevant standards and regulations and to stimulate the circular economy, said the consortium.
