Iran’s exports has grown by 13%

IRANPOLYMER/BASPAR  The 13% growth of the country's in the first half of the current Iranian calendar year of 1397 (March 21-September 23) indicates that the currency fluctuation did not have much effect on exports during this period, and contrary to the supposition of some defenders, the export basket continues to remain crude.
Fars news agency reported that non-oil exports of the country increased by 13% during the first half of the current Iranian calendar year of 1397, according to the official statistics of the country's foreign trade. This figure was recorded while the economic experts who defend the increasing of the exchange rate, always considered one of the reasons for defending this approach as an increase in exports.
According to statistics, Iran's non-oil exports in this half of year amounted to 56,644,000 tons equal to $23,123,000.
In the same period, the definitive amount of imports to Iran was 16,220,000 tons equal to $22,182,000.
In comparison to the first six months of the last Iranian calendar year of 1396, Iran's imports decreased by 9.3% in weight and by 11.93% in value. This decline is due to the rigid implementation of the registering orders process, allocating and supplying currency, and the ban on importing group 4 goods.
In spite of currency fluctuations and sanction concerns effects, domestic automakers and their partners have been able to import $978,000 car parts.
As interesting point, with a growth of 263% of imports from Oman the origin of import has changed from the UAE to Oman. And if currency restrictions in Dubai are not dissolved, it is likely that foreign exchange and part of the goods will be supplied through the Oman.
Statistics show that imports from seven major countries have fallen, and Russia has also entered the emerging foreign trade partner. Imports from this country are about 100%.
